History
A Sacremento Fire Alarm Contractor
Western
Electronics has been around since 1965. We are a small
family run business and now on the second generation. We could
have grown into a large company very easily but it has been our
observance of our peers that larger companies do not provide the
excellent service that we can provide.
Our quality of service is what has kept most of our business coming
back for more. Some of our customers such as Mercy Healthcare
have been coming back for more since 1965.
The Sacremento Fire Alarm Contractor company
was originally started by Gene Lasiter, Archie Rife, and three
other partners. In the first 6 years two of the three partners
sold out. In 1977 another partner sold out, leaving the company
in the hands of Gene and Archie. Archie was the field manager
while Gene ran the company from the inside and was also the estimator.
On July 4th, 1976 Archie died of a heart attack at the Cal Expo
racetrack. He was working the sound system there and had just
climbed the stairway to the announcer booth. He always said that
he wanted to die with a screwdriver in one hand and a pair of
pliers in the other. He had his boots on, as well.
Gene and his son Gary ran the business until 1993 when Gene retired
at the age of 70. At that time, Gary took over the helm and is
presently still running the business. |
